I have a new evga geforce gtx1070 with two 8-pin pci-e female ports. I have a Corsair CX600M pwr supply with a female 6+2 pci-e and 2 female 6 pin ports. Can i split the 6+2 into two of them to feed the gtx1070? Or should I use two cables, one 6+2 and combine the 2 6 pins? Not really sure how to power this thing up. any suggestion great. Also, I would be needing a cable that is male to male. very difficult to find...

the gtx1070 is new, so it does have the two 8-pin ports, but can i use a splitter to power both ports from the singe psu port?

correct, this is the one. however, as you can see there is only one 8-pin or 6+2 pin port on the psu. The others are 6 pin type. May I plug one of the 6+2 pci-e cables into the 6 pin port and still pwr up the gpu with an 8 pin port?
