[SOLVED] PX-716A firmware update

I have a brand new Plextor PX-716A dvd writer and it won't read or write anything. I need help updating the firmware to see if that might fix the issue. I'm having a hard time trying to update the firmware on this dvd writer. If anyone knows how I would really appreciate it.

Thank you so much, would you happen to know what the steps are to updating it? Im having a hard time figuring out how to update it once ive got the new firmware downloaded

Usually for firmware there is some sort of instruction file in the firmware package.
