Hi forum community,

I recently did a case transfer of our system. I am happy to say that everything in the system is working, but I'm having a peculiar PXE Intel Boot issue.

When I start the computer, the BIOS gives me a blinking dash, then says it's looking at DCHP, then it says it can not find a boot drive and says to press a key if a boot is then attached

I press a key and immediately the system boots to my hard drive and everything in my system works completely fine

Thankfully, nothing is wrong with my computer, but this is an immensely annoying issue, as I have a SSD and it then takes me 30-60 seconds each time I reset to wait for this process

Does anybody know what is causing this and how I fix it?

I have a Gigabyte GA-X79-UD3, SLI & X-fire, USB 3.0, SATA3, HD Audio, GB LAN

Thanks!

PXE boot error refers to the Pre-boot Execution Environment(network boot) there are two ways to get around this error first is to disable the PXE or network boot option in the BIOS it should be right in the same area as disabling the network adapater or setting Network or PXE in your boot order to the last option as refered by user 4745454b
