[SOLVED] [Q&A] SSD|HDD|Optane Memory

Hey Guys!
Just got the new Pc, but unfortunately because of lack of money, couldn't buy SSD! So now I'm up for it after 30 days!
The question is I tried searching a lot... And found out that SSD makes things faster what's installed inside it, it doesn't boost up the performance of the HDD. Ex: Your Photoshop will open faster only if it's installed in SSD, and it will b same if it's installed in HDD.
Another thing, that Optane Memory is way too better in this, it improves the whole system ability to work.

Final thing, how about AMD users? They have no choice to go for, other than the SSDs which are quite expensive.

So help me understand what should I go for, please.

No, Optane is not "way better".

It is a really fast read cache for your HDD. Being small (16 or 32GB), it obviously can't make everything that lives on the HDD "fast".

A regular SSD is fast across its whole space.
OS and all your applications. Depending on size, games as well.

And quite often, what ends up on the HDD in a dual drive system does not benefit from any cache like that.
A movie or music playlist won't run any faster.

But still... You agree that the game or application, wherever it is installed in the harddrive, will open and work better... If not better then Similar to an SSD. Where, if someone buys SSD of 60 or 120gb, that's limited amount of space (barely of full size of GTA V).
So it's better to go for Optane instead of an SSD?

I'd never recommend someone to buy a 60GB or 120GB SSD.

Prices today indicate a 250GB or larger.
