Q about different temperatures on cores

I just cross graded from a 9950 to e8400.

At idle Speedfan reports the cores temps @ 39/31 C, 51/47 C at full load prime95.

Is this normal? I am worried I didn't put the grease on the heatsink well, I'm not very nimble. Would that cause this, is it worth changing with everything below 51C?

I'm oc'd to about 3.4 GHz from 3.0.

Cooler is OCZ Vendetta.

Those temps are about normal, maybe a little high but not high enough to damage anything. This might interest you:

A dual core CPU have its CPu in the midle of the Chips. If you wish to be sure. Take your Cooller out. Wipe old paste and just apply a paste shot in the middle of the chip. ( as big as a BB gun bullet ! )
