Getting error code 99 with the yellow LED on. (boot device led)

I was able to successfully POST the system twice and enter into the BIOS screen.

I am trying to POST while in bench mode, on a piece of wood with the anti static bag also.
Only the CPU/Fan and RAM are attached to the board.

I tried reseating all components, removing the battery, clearing CMOS and flashing with USB stick to the latest BIOS. Tested 2 sticks of RAM, in each of the slots. (No ram = code53.)

I Checked the socket, no pins appear to be bend, but its also very hard to tell on the 1151 socket.

Asus Maximus VIII Hero
Skylake I7 6700K.
2x8GB Cosair 3000 MHz ram.
750W EVGA G1 bronze PSU.

Solution
You're welcome.
I'd say to RMA the board firstly and, if still same issue, RMA the CPU afterwards.
Please post back the result.
Pins are ok.
Now, try disconnecting all cables/components from the motherboard, but CPU, CPU cooler, 24 and 8 pin power cables, single RAM module.
Start the board by shortly touching with a screwdriver the 2 pins on the motherboard corresponding to the case power switch.
If still 99, power off, move the RAM module to different slot and start again. See if 99 in each case.

Yes, the blue LED flashback button was blinking on the O/I panel of the motherboard., also the light on my USB stick was blinking, took about 5 to 10 minute to stop blinking.

Thank you very much for your help.

I plan RMA the board tomorrow.

I am just worried that the problem could be the RAM, CPU or PSU.

But, its unlikely both RAM sticks are bad, and the PSU is powering the lights on the board and spinning the CPU fan.

Think I should RMA the cpu also?
