Hi Guys I'm new and wanted to ask you guys for your opinion. Which is better Intel i5 3570K + 7870 OC vs i5 3470 + 7850 OC? I would be playing games like BF3,FarCry3,Borderland 2,etc

Thanks In Advance!

Solution
I would just get the current setup, as it's balanced already. Trying to make it "kinda" futureproof (futureproofing still doesn't exist) by adding a MOBO that can run crossfire is in my book stupid. It would be a waste, because when you will be upgrading in 3 years GPUs, CPUs, MOBOs everything will offer way better performance at way better prices. And buying a 3 years old GPU in that time? Come on, it would be better just to sell the old and get a new one.

The last question is kind of hard to answer.
In terms of pure gaming performance, the configuration with the HD 7870 will be significantly faster, but the Core i5 3470 is not overclockable which makes it significantly less future proof.

I will not be able to change the PC for the next 3 years so a future proof pc which can run games mentioned above. So Intel i5 3570K + 7850 OC vs i5 3470 + 7870 OC. I will purely use it for gaming

The term futureproofness doesn't exist. Technology develops everyday and each generation performance increases by such huge amounts, which means programs and games becomes more demanding.

Now the i5-3570k will perform better in the current time of speaking, BUT the i5-3470 will be MORE than sufficient as he won't be upgrading in the next 3 years. The i5-3470 will not make ANY bottleneck, so that means the i5-3570k won't make any significant difference in gaming.

Thanks for the reply Mate! So i5 3470 + 7870 2GB is more than enough for me? I am just a gamer and not a overclocking maniac or something.

I want to reduce the price in someplaces except the graphic card and processor
