Q3 crashes with XP SP2?

point release 1.32 on Windows XP with SP2 installed?

Have you reinstalled the game? yeah? Ok, DX9.0c? ah that comes with
it. Hm. Dunno, I'm running XP Pro SP2 now, same install of Q3A 1.32, no
problems.

did you install any driver updates with sp2?

my machine refused to run q3 after I installed the
AMD processor patch from windows update

have you tried another video driver?

I had just installed the latest non-whql nvidia drivers a bit before installing
sp2 and the sp2 install reverted my drivers to an older version but oddly
looking at all the dll versions showed 2-3 of them as the newer version and the
rest for the version that sp2 decided my video card needed.

Find a nvidia driver cleaning program and run it and when clean reinstall the
latest nvidia drivers.
