Q3 in linux

I have Quake 3 for Windows, and i know they made a commercial version
for Linux. Im wondering if i can take the Windows install, and get a
linux binary somehwere to run it under X.

All you need is the pak0.pk3 file from your Q3 CD and the file above.

Runs better than in windows as long a you have an Nvidia card.

nvidia it is, GeForce 3 :)

I remember back before Q3 was released, they released the q3test packs
for Linux first. before mac, and windows.
Ran better on my 233 running linux than it did on the same machine in
Win98.
