Well this is my first attempt at overclocking and I was disappointed in my numbers. Let me give you my set up:

Intel 2.4 Ghz Q6600 w/ Zalman 110 mm fan
MSI 780i SLI
OCZ Reaper 2x2 GB 1066 Mhz
2 XFX 8800 GT's 512 Mb memory and 2 Zalman GPU fan's
Rosewill 650w Power Supply
Antec 900 case

I was only able to overclock to 2.61 Ghz. I am unable to adjust any voltages in my Bios, it just won't let me. I am new at this and open to any suggestions. SO PLEASE HELP THE NEW GUY OUT!

You should be able to expand that voltage no problem, that is a good series of motherboard. Is there anything that you need to enable in the bios.

However, without voltage changes, the q6600 should still be able to reach 3.0 ghz or close too. Make sure that when you are overclocking that far, that you aren't overclocking the RAM that much. I have a feeling that you are getting menial gains because you are overclocking the RAM in tandem with your processor which would give such disappointing results (2.61Ghz).

I didn't take the ram over 1066. Is that still to high? As for enabling something in Bios for voltage changes, I will keep searching.
