Hello all,
mobo: http://www.gigabyte.com/products/product-page.aspx?pid=3090#ov
cpu: q6600 SLACR g0 revision
ram: OCZ2G8004GK at 5-5-5-18 1.9v

i tried ocing my q6600 recently and i found out that the max oc i can get is 9x343mhz fsb, which fails at prime95 test, so im using 9x340 at stock Vcore(1.2875) which passes prime blend test. Anything past 9x343mhz causes, that my pc wont boot at any Vcore(i didnt go past 1.5)
temps idle: 45-48°C
temps at blend testing(100% cpu usage): 62-65°C

what might be the cause of the 343Mhz ceiling?
im thinking of the g41 chipset mobo might be the problem, that i cant achieve 3.2ghz.
thanks for answers

I think you may want to try looking at some others' OC builds on q6600. There may be a setting that you may have missed that is stopping your CPU from performing. Also, some CPU just wont go any higher than what you have reached as stable. I OC'd mine just recently. I can go upto 3.3Ghz but my cooler is not good enough to run that setting so im going to be around 3.1~2 just because of the heat I cannot go on any further. I got mine at 9x multiplier, 356FSB and vcore at 1.325 (going to try one notch lower to see if stable), but there were many options on motherboard that I had to turn off.
