Q6600 oc problem

So I want oc q6600 @3ghz but I can't because everytime I save oc settings in BIOS the pc shuts down and powers on and after that if I go to BIOS then cpu oc button is disabled. I have new BIOS battery.

Hello... Any failed/bad OC/BIO's setting will cause the BIO's to re-start with a Safe Bootable setting... this is GOOD B ) Your putting in the wrong settings for your hardware... Typically it will be the RAM not being able to run at the higher FSB setting. You need to down clock your RAM as you Up clock your CPU/FSB.
