Q6600 temps

ok i have a q6600 Coolermaster Gemini 2 and a coolermastercosmos

no OC wondering if these temps are ok speedfan shows ambient at 39c

Also im using some junk thermal paste from a zalman 9700 the liquid brush on crap 5 120mm case fans + cpuHS fan

those are great idle temps, now put some some stress on it with prime95.

and that ambient is prolly the mobo northbridge temp...

even a short test it hit 57 54 55 54 small ffts eh was possibly thinking of investing in a better thermal compound maybe something else i know this HSf isnt the best at only 1800 rpm

well reapplied some thermal grease and cut load and idle temps by 3c across all 4 cores

Those seem to be decent temps for a stock cooler.

well the gemini isn't the best aftermarket cooler out there...
here's a nice test, dated April 30th, 2007, so it's a bit old and few cood coolers have launched since. (and the stock intel cooler on the charts isn't the one that comes with q6600, I think...)
