Q6600 upgrade from pentium 1.8ghz e2160

my little brother wants to get into gaming and play some esports titles and some 2015 aaa titles as well with a resolution of 720p . i have my old pc lying around which has a pentium dual core e2160 1.8ghz. I want to upgrdae to a q6600 2.4ghz which could cost me 10$.is this upgrade worth it as its the only cpu i could find that fits my budget on ...can i pair this cpu with a rx 460 or something along those lines and make it work?

its a g41 type motherboard by digilite it supports q6600 socket T

Dont buy Q6600, get Q8400, you will miss instructionsike ssse4.2 which is required by some games, unless you wanna emulate it and have perfomance dips, like fifa? No mans sky.

q8400 is actually not available in my country unfortunately but will the q6600 be enough to run games like overwatch Fortnite battlefield 1? and which gpu should i pair it with?

Well it will be enough as I tested Q6600 on Fortnite about 6-8 months ago on some post with r7 250.
But still any Q8xxx Q9xxx would do it better than Q6xxx.
About BF1, ehh, not sure, look up on youtube.
