q6600 w/ TRUE temps

Hey i have a q6600 g0 overclocked to 3.0 with a lapped TRUE and lapped cpu...My idle temps range from 36c-40c and 55c at full load, I also have an antec 900 case with ambient temps around 24c...now i know i should be getting lower temps what gives ? ( reseated heatsink many times and applied AS5 )

what fan u using??

U should be getting less....much less.
what r u using to record temps?

using the scythe with the true but i replaced it with one of the antec fans and cpu went down 1 degree or so... recording temps with coretemp although realtemp reads 5c less...on idle highest core is 37c lowest being 35c [coretemp]

have you check if the base is even??and dont apply too much thermal paste on a lapped setup!

those temp seem normal. My q6600 oc to 3.2ghz vcore 1.33 idles at 30c and load hits 50c

yea i did the water drop test and the razor blade seemed pretty flat i also switched the position of the HS and i got worse temps...all fans are on high...also on another not my TRUE slides alot i tried the washer mod but i guess the washer wasnt big enough because it still slides, could this be the problem ?
