Hello everyone.

I'm planning to invest in 2 x GTX 1050ti next month so I could get involved with deep learning and neural nets. The thing is that I have an old machine, which is still running very good, but I want to add those 2 GPUs for processing. I was wondering: does anyone know could I use those cards with my current build?
Specs are:
CPU: intel core2quad q6600 (oc'd to 3.35)
MB: Asus P5Q3
RAM: 8gb (Kingston dimms @1066MHz)
SSD for system and HDD for storage.
PSU is 500W atm, but it will also be swapped.

Cheers 😀

Solution
Well for processing 2x 1050ti's will beat a single 1060 hands down, but the 2x 1060s will give ya 1080ti like processing.

Though keep in mind, you can not SLI these cards, they don't have the fingers for the bridge, I know some 3d processing requires SLI.
Im still considering this option. Other option is 1060. But I found somewhere that it should generally be better getting 2 less powerful cards than 1 more powerful.. I figure since the price is similar, performace also, those 1050s should be good choice. But I'll see.. Thanks anyway though 😀

The 1050 Ti has exactly half the compute power of a single 1060 6GB.
