i have just built my own system.
specs:
q6600 go stepping running at stock(2.4ghz)
asrock 4core1600twins motherboard
4gb ocz RAM DDR2
160bg hitachi hard drive
running windows xp home 32bit

ok so my main problem here is that windows only displays 2 out of the four cores in both task manager and device manager! i have done some research and only managed to find that it is a faulty CPU i have tried every other option ive cam accross. (there is no bios settings that i can see to enable the 4 cores and i know the motherboard is compatable)

has anybody encounter this problem before and if so managed to solve it?
thanks

Well that's that theory out (early versions of XP Home (ie pre SP1 I think) were CPU locked like this)
