Q67 Mobo and ivy bridge

I currently have a DQ67OW motherboard with a q67 chipset, it has a i5 2500 installed. If i wanted to upgrade to an ivy bridge cpu could I? Ive heard q67 does not support ivy bridge even though it is the same socket
