I was planning to buy an H97/H87 chipset PC with core i7 processor. When I browser various brands website I saw there were no
H97/H87 PC's with the features I wanted. But I could find a couple of PC's with Q87 chipset. According to my knowledge I think Q87 are similar to H87 with some business features added to it. Can someone confirm that it is indeed true.

I know this is a little bit off topic, if you plan to use Q and H mobos instead of Z, this means that you will not OC.
I saw you plan to get an i7, this will be the i7 without -k.
Have you considered a E3-1230V2 or E3-1231V3? This is the cheaper or more attractive alternative to i7 if you do not need the iGPU as well as do not plan to OC.

Thanks for that suggestion guanyu210379.
I had earlier posted one doubt regarding my PC which I am adding below. Please let me know if the processor you mentioned fits my need. Also if you could please answer that question too :)

I'm planning to buy a new Computer.

Confused if I should go for Core i7 4790 or Core i5 4690.
Also don't know which chipset I should Choose; z97, H97, Z87, H87, H81, Q87, Q85, B85 (z97 and z87 looks out of budget for me)
I am planning to use the PC for at least 5 years without much up gradation.

Remaining components will be 8GB RAM and No Graphics Card.

I will be using the PC for Working with Photoshop, Illustrator, watching Full HD videos both in Youtube and media player, browsing the internet with almost a dozen tabs open in both Firefox and Chrome (I will be multitasking with all these applications at the same time).

I assume that you already considered about which platform you would want and that is the LGA1150 and not LGA2011 or LGA1151.
For photo/video editing, rendering, multitasking, gaming, etc. you would want an i7 instead of an i5, if you can afford it.
If you do not plan to OC, you can pick an i7 without -k.
If you plan to use an i7 and plan to use a dedicated GPU, which means do not need the iGPU in an i7, you can cut the price for the processor down a bit and go for an E3-1231V3.
E3-1231V3 has no noticeable difference to i7 4790 for normal usages like mentioned above.
With either i7 4790 or Xeon E3-1231V3, you will have your peace for the next 3-5 years from the processor point of view.

Now to the chipset, you should forget the older H/Z87 chipsets and better go for the newer H/Z97.
B85 is still ok if you are tight on budget, while Q87 could offer you perhaps things you would actually want or need.
Usually, H97 already covers all the things you would need but Q87 is ok.

I saw you are considering of having 8GB RAM, if you renders/edit a lot, I would consider going 16GB instead. It is not that far expensive from 8GB.

I also see that you wrote, no dedicated GPU, for editing/rendering, I would prefer getting a decent graphic cards.
You will gain benefits from a dedicated GPU. iGPU in an i7 is not that strong.
!Warning! Again! E3-1231V3 does not have iGPU !Warning!

Thank you all for your valuable answers.

I will buying i7 4790+Q87 even though I prefer i7 4790+H97

Reason, the second combination is not available with branded PCs in my place. I prefer branded PC's as their service is reliable here. If I go for an assembled PC and some hardware issues occur it will take weeks/months to get solved while branded PC's solves the issue with in 24 hrs (from my experience). Sadly I will be paying nearly the price for the i7 4790+Z97 to buy i7 4790+Q87.

Xeon is no where in the market for regular customers.

My final question. I have only three options available with the brand I prefer.

(1) i5-4590+Q87+8GB
(2) i5-4590+Q87+8GB+AMD Radeon R5 240, 1GB
(3) i7-4790+Q87+8GB

My Photoshop and Illustrator works will mostly be related to website designs and not high resolution images. Will surely consider 16 GB if available. I know the last two options are better but the first option is much budget friendly and I wish it fits the performance I expect.
Can you please comment on the three options?
