Hi all

So I have the following:

Q9550
ASUS P5B Deluxe
2x2GB Corsair XMS2 DDR-800 (5-5-5-18 1.8V)
Cooler Master Hyper H412R
Open air testbed with 3 120mm fans directly overhead

I'm trying to get some extra speed from my Q9550. 3.8ghz would be amazing, but I can't get it stable at literally any overclock. Am I doing something wrong? Any advise is welcome.

Solution
As you can notice, there are not so many interested in the old processor of getting help to overclock it.
I also have this processor.
Q9550- 65W
GA-EP45-DS4
4GB GeIL Black Dragon DDR2 PC2-6400
Corsair AX760 80 PLUS Platinum

For me there is no reason to upgrade it, (although I could, easily) for what I am doing.
I have it, the processor, overclocked to 3.65Ghz, it is enough, the temps are perfect. Overclocked brings it on par with i5-4570 according to some benchmark. Over 3.65 is not that easy, or impossible to have it stable.
My setting I am using are:

The settings I am using:
robust graphic booster- AUTO
clock ratio 8X
fine clock ratio +0,5
frequency 430
pcie frequency 100...
