my Q9550 idle temperature is:

core0: 38
core1: 38
core2: 39
core3: 39

but when I run Prime95 and CPU utilize 100%, temperature is:

core0: 62
core1: 62
core2: 63
core3: 62

is it normal?

Depends on the cooler being used and if it's overclocked.

If this is the stock cooler and it's not OC'd, I'd say it's pretty good.
If it's OC'd some using the stock cooler, I'd say it's very good.
If it's a good aftermarket cooler at stock settings, I'd say no.
If it's an aftermarket and it's OC'd, it's very good.

60-65 under load is pretty typical. 70-75 you're starting to get into the undesirable zone. If it were to ever hit 80, that's really bad.

so, processor is at stock position and cooler is "coolermaster" brand, a normal one.

Then the cooler is obviously an after market one, since coolermaster is NOT an OEM.
I'd say the temps r slightly high, but within tolerable range.

no, wat i meant was - coolermaster does not supply STOCK coolers with processors, like Intel or AMD does.

Seems this part of my first comment is the cause for concern:
If it's a good aftermarket cooler at stock settings, I'd say no.
I'll clarify this a bit. I said no here because when I mention aftermarket, I mean large tower-type performance HS/Fans with several heatpipes and a 120mm fan, or similar. Those OEM Cooler Master HS/Fan units are very much like the stock ones, but with slight changes that usually yield a mild performance advantage over stock.

So, if those were the temps you were getting and this were some $30-$50 aftermarket tower cooler, then I would still say no. With something like that I'd expect cooler temps on a stock-clocked CPU because a stock cooler should provide such temps. With an OEM replacement cooler like what Cooler Master offers, which is basically the same as a stock cooler, see #1.

And as I said at the end of my comment, 60-65 is pretty typical. 70-75 is where a little caution should be used and it may be wise to consider an aftermarket performance cooler. 80+ is where you should worry and definitely take action, whether it be a tear down, cleaning, and fresh TIM application, or installation of an aftermarket performance HS/Fan.

I'd have to agree here. Assuming he's not operating it deep in the jungle heat of South America, those figures should be right on. Inversely, if he's operating it out of his igloo, those temps are a bit high. ;)
