I finally broke down and got a tray Q9650 to take my P5Q Deluxe to the fastest I could go with it. I have been checking the voltage at stock settings under full load with prime 95. I get 1.00 volts v-core with cpu-z and core temp. This seems rather low to me. I tried setting manual v-core to 1.15 volts and I get same 1.00 volts under full load, so it seems my chips default v-core is indeed approximately 1.15 v-core figuring in v-droop.

Is this an exceptionally low stock v-core? I have a Q9450 C1 Rev and it has a 1.25 v-core. I do realize that the 9650 is a better stepping and it shows it with much lower temps, and O/C's like heck. Ive toyed with the 9650 at 3.9 Ghz with 1.25 volts and appears that a lot more is left to go. I O/C the 9450 to 3.4Ghz and it takes 1.30 volts v-core to get stable. This 9650 also was running on air at 3.9Ghz with prime loaded temps only hitting 54C. It idles at 35C. I wish I had 2 of these, as my 9450 hit 65C at 3.4 .

No problem I was just wanting to know if this was a better than normal chip due to the fact of how hot my 9450 was running and the voltage difference. I did not realize that the core revision made that much of a difference.
