Hi,

I am confused to choose a graphics card between rx470 4gb and gtx 1050ti for modern gaming in 1080p resolution with high to ultra setting.

Would it be more bottlenecking or not?

My spec:
Q9650 running stock @3ghz
8gb ddr3 1066mhz
Radeon hd5570
G41m combo
500w psu 80+bronze

So what do you think about that?

Solution
Nothing wrong with 7850 or 750ti but I'll still favor 1050ti

Less power req, less strain on psu if old

750ti is hard to find 2nd hand amongst the fakes

Modern gpus still work with legacy bios, mine does with 1070 & lga 1366. But yeah some people have had trouble, no idea why some do and some don't work. Id imagine maybe lga 1366 just scrapped in for compatibility and lga 775 just missed out or those oem boards had most of the trouble. Wouldn't know until it's tried.
Modern games, high to ultra starts with gtx 1070 or equivalent.

Medium to high is gtx 1060 territory

Low to medium maybe high with 1050ti. 1050ti is low end.

As said above the cpu will bottleneck albeit with bottleneck a newer gpu will still be an improvement over your 5570.

1050ti is between a Rx 460 & 470

Upgrading cpu motherboard and ram if you want to play modern games comfortably is good advice.

Thanks a lot
But i wont upgrade my part cause i dont have enough budget now
and also I play the game just a few moments to calm the mind only
so with the spec I think that is enough for me, maybe in the future I will upgrade my whole system

The kind of games, like Overwatch, that you could play well with that CPU would do well with a 1050 Ti.

Some games, which are very CPU demanding, would require a better CPU than you and a better videocard than a 1050 Ti.

So, as long as you stay reasonable in the games you expect to play, a 1050 Ti is in my opinion the most you should buy. Unless that 470 is very close in price, stick to the 1050 Ti. If it was me, I'd go with a 1050. That's because prices right now are such that I would not feel the gains I might get in some games is worth the premium I'd pay to get a 1050 Ti.

1. your motherboard will dictate if you can even upgrade over a GTX 660 because your system is likely not UEFI but BIOS based
2. assuming you can and, the choice is between a GT 1030 or a GTX 750ti, I would suggest a ATI/AMD HD 7850 used on ebay.

of course all these choices tossed at you all seriously depends on your make and model of your motherboard, and power supply.

PS: I run a Q9400/ASUS P5Ql-EPU/8GB DDR2-800Mhz with a HD7850 on a Thermaltake Smart 500W without a problem.
of course it doesn't run PUBG, but I doubt you expected you would ever run that game on your system anyways, so speaking of GTX 1070 is pointless.
