Hey! I just got a new 55" TV and noticed little dark spot on the bottom of the screen which covers around 10 pixels but weirdly I still can see light going through them (when zooming in with a camera) accordingly to the color on the screen displayed (so its not like dead or stuck pixels). Looks like its on the 2nd layer of the screen. What could that be? And should I make a warranty claim?

Thanks in advance

Welcome to the forums, newcomer!

What could that be?
It could be a group of stuck pixels or a said group of dead pixels.

And should I make a warranty claim?
What is the make and model of your display? Usually they include papers/literature that states what the minimum threshold for an RMA is or should be. For example, Asus had a policy(a decade ago) whereby at least 12 dead pixels qualified the monitor/display for an RMA/warranty claim. That has since gone down to 8 dead pixels.

Hey! Thanks for the reply.

Its a Philips 55PML9019/12.

Is the minimum threshold available online or do I have to read through all the pages in the paper to find it? 😅
