Question QHD curved or not for older games

Good evening one and all

I have some money burning a hole in my pocket and thought I would treat my self to a new monitor, although they seem quite hard to get at the minute. This all came about because my son recently bought a Samsung curved 32 QHD monitor.

after seeing Elite Dangerous on that and going back to my 22 inch standard monitor I was very jealous and filled with monitor envy.

The only trouble is i do play a wide variety of games from Elite Dangerous to Civ 3 with a bit of baldurs gate and neverwinter night s thrown in and even started playing rollercoaster tycoon again so i can go from newer game to the older ones. My question is would a QHD monitor be able to play these older games and display them without major issues and compatibility problems.

Any advice or help would be much appreciated (by the way don't judge my choice of games I have been playing some of those games longer than my kids have been around )

I seriously doubt those older games support QHD. I think the image would be either stretched and pixelated, or small with thick black bands around.

I know the older games will not support QHD but it's more of a question of will the picture look ok in a non native resolution
