QLED tv will not play sony dvd changer

I have a Sony 400 disc cd/dvd changer. I tried hooking it up to my new samsung Qled 55" smart tv with one remote. The tv reconizes the player but I don't gea any sound or picture.

Sony makes several different 400 disc cd/dvd changers. They all hold 400 discs, but that isn't the model number. Hard to tell just which one you have and what cable type it uses to connect to a TV.

A new samsung Qled 55" smart tv could also be one of several different models. Try listing model numbers.

The sony player has an HDMI and component connections I have new high speed HDMI cables

Devices must be connected to One Connect box via HDMI cable.

First, connect the One Connect cable to the One Connect port on the back of your TV, and then connect the other end to the One Connect port on your One Connect Box. Next, connect the power cord to the AC power port on the One Connect Box, and then plug the other end into a wall outlet.

Then connect the cd/dvd changer HDMI to the One Connect Box.
