Hi folks,

I have a QMS Magicolor 2 color laser, and it has run fine for the past
years and suddenly it gave a "Replace Belt" error. So I did, and put in a
brand new belt, and still it gives the same error and won't print. I have
tried more than one belt, but the error will not go away.

I have heard the censor might be dirty, however, I cannot locate it on the
belt cartridge or the printer itself. Does anyone know where it is?

Thanks,

Er

Have you reset the message in the menu ?
If is a cx/ex you'll find it under operator control/consumables/replaced
item
if its a desklaser press menu until you reach service then press select a
few times until it says service is selected.

There is no sensor te keep track of the opc-belt's life. The only sensor
present is the belt marker sensor located at the left side just above the
black toner cartrige.

Thanks Jeff, that did the trick! I thought in this day and age everythig
would be electronically sensored, but hey, I prefer a manual override any
day!
