quad-channel DDR3 Ram

I have an Optiplex 780 with a Intel Core 2 Quad Q9550 @ 2.83GHz. does my pc supports quad-channel ram ? Here it is:

No, that will be a dual channel system. You can install four memory sticks up to the maximum memory supported though, which I believe would be 4x4GB (16GB) of memory.

That looks like dual channel kit from 2 modules + 2 individual modules (not quad channel kit).
Probably will work on your system. But as noted before - can work only in dual channel or single channel mode.
 
4x2GB would be 8GB total memory if that is what you are asking? You will have four sticks of memory operating as 2 banks of 2 memory sticks. Dual channel.

If you want 8 GB, then it is more efficient to get two 4GB sticks, less memory to power.

The number of memory sticks is not equal to the number of channels. triple, quad, hex, and eight channel setups are only found on the High End Desktop platforms like Intel's or AMD's X series motherboards.
