Hello, I want to buy the BeQuiet Dark Rock 4 for my 2700X my motherboard is the Asus X470 -f gaming and my ram is 2x8 G Skill trident Z Rgb 3200mhz Cas 14. My question is, will the cooler restrict one of my ram slots? I might want to go quad channel in the future so I don't want to lose that option with the cooler. The other option I have is the Be Quiet Dark Rock Slim which has the same price give or take but I don't know the performance difference. Please help lol!

Thank you for reading.

(In case you are wondering why I am going from an AIO to air cooling, my pump is malfunctioning, with 15% cpu usage I sit at around 55-57C and it's loud AF)

Might be able to rma the aio.
As above stated, 4 sticks should work in theory but in 2 channels.
Well, I did not know that my CPU is dual channel only and the AIO is used from a friend so RMA is not possible. Gonna buy the cooler then, thank you for the input! On a different topic, why do they make motherboards with 4 slots if the CPUs that are supported are dual channel only?

For total memory capacity rather than additional performance. But the clock speed for four DIMMs is usually lower than for two.

Yea thats not good. Make sure block is secure. May be usefull to repaste cpu.
I've dealt with this serval months ago, replaced paste, checked block to make sure it is screwed evenly, etc and here we are again. The pump is set to extreme (full throttle) and the fun curve is pretty aggressive. Going Air without second thoughts, I don't have 130+ euros to get a different one.
