Quad channel upgrade on OEM PC

I just came into possession of an HP Pavilion HPE h8-1280t PC, with a 3930k processor and 10GB of memory (4+4+2). I want to upgrade so quad channel memory is working. It seems that my options are:

1) Buy two more of the 4GB with the same model number (HMT351U6CFR8C-PB 12800U) and hope they are matched well enough to work.

2) Buy a quad channel kit like the one below and hope it works without BIOS changes, which I guess I can't alter on this machine.

Any thoughts on how likely it is either of these options will work?

The Ares should work and the BIOS is upgradable, see here:

would also suggest checking and upgrading drivers as needed

Great, thanks! I was worried I would need to change some timing parameter or something that is locked out from changes.
