then buy the best one you can afford, i assure you... you wont be buying too much processor. you will want a quadcore at least. though good luck find a good price on old processors. i would suggest a new system at that point but i can understand money is a problem. good luck finding a good deal on a used processor tho. theyre out there.

Only Intel, will run on lga775.

The options you have are determined by your motherboard. Not all will support a Qxxx cpu.
Go to the motherboard web site and look at the cpu support list that will give you your options.

optimumly, whole new system. but we do the best we can so if all you can afford is a good deal on a good core2quad. do that. or save for a new system.
