Quad-sli @ x8 or Dual-sli @ x16

Which is better? I currently have dual-sli @x8 and i havent done anything to my rig in a while so im thinking about expanding. Just dont know if I should go for a mobo that supports 4 @x8 or just 2 @ x16

I think you would regret going over 2 cards, the diver issues and sometimes negative scaling make it unattractive. To do this you would need to:
Get Higher end motherboard, in this case X79, and a 2011 CPU if not already done so.
Then you need a larger PSU.

All thisa effort for something that is sketchy and will be outperformed 2 years later for cheaper, lower heat, and less driver hassles.
