Hi,

I did a bit of searching and found this page of specifications for the Z800. http://www8.hp.com/h20195/v2/GetPDF.aspx%2Fc04110962.pdf

And this set of specs for the Quadro K5200 from Nvidia - http://international.download.nvidia.com/quadro/product-literature/data-sheets/DS-NV-Quadro-K5200-JUL24-US-NV-r-HR.pdf

The main things you would need to worry about are: compatible and available slots on the board in the Z800, driver support for the operating system you are using, overall peak power consumption, which will also depend on the other devices you have installed, heat generation/control, and the availability of power cables for the card from the internal power supply. Again that would depend on what is currently installed in your system. You would want to avoid daisy chaining any device that has a higher power consumption, to avoid possible problems with the power cables due to excessive current load.

I hope this helps. I post on behalf of HP.

Thank you very much Malygris1!

I am going to replace my old Quadro 6000 to a new K5200. As I know the Max power consumption for Quadro 6000 is 225W and for K5200 it's about 150W. I think I am fine with that.

My main concern is a PCl-e slot. I have only PCI-e 2.0. For best performance K5200 needs PCI-e 3.0

Thanks again!

Hi Malygris1,

Does it matter what brand of Graphic Card I will use?

Unless you have some type of brand loyalty, I would focus on what you need, and then look at cost vs performance, and also any reviews you can find of the ones you are thinking of, from independent and reputable sources. If you are not familiar with a vendor, it would be a good idea also to look at their warranty policy, just so you are informed.

I post on behalf of HP.

Thank you for your help!
