quadro K600 or GTX 680 or??

Hi there,
I would like to ask for some advice which card should i go for.
I am a heavy user in photoshop, AI and Indesign CS6. Dual monitor. and heavy web browsing like 20+tabs. I do 3d modeling but its not that heavy, most of the time is sketchup and sometime rhino or 3dsmax, depends on the form complexity.
I dont do rendering as I have another setup which is specific for rendering.

Been struggling whether I should choose a workstation card or gaming card. maximum budget I can afford is GTX 680.

If you can afford GTX 680, then go with that one, more than sufficient for your work. Don't go with K600, its a DDR3 RAM model card, which is obsolete.

A GTX 760 will also do easily and you can save some money too.

Wrong! go with a k600, it will be generally slower but stable where it needs to be...

A gtx 680 4gb will give 300 fps on a box scene, but will crawl to 5 fps with huge stuttering under stress

A k600 gives 80 fps on a box scene, but will give you are very stable 5 fps which is what you need.


besides, k600 handles duall monitor setups without a sweat. First hand experience here
