Quadro K600 vs geforce gt 635 performance for cad computing

Solution
660 is a little faster than a 635? That's not even close, the model numbers alone should tell you the 660 is far above a 635. The 635 uses the same gpu as the 630 (kepler), meaning the 660 is nearly 3x the performance. You also confused the quadro 600 (fermi) with the k600 (kepler).

Just looking at the specs it's a downgrade, the 635 with 384 cores (similar to a k2000) and the k600 with 192 cores. The drivers for the quadro would help but it's not enough to make up for the raw performance differences. Here's some cad benchmarks, it doesn't have the k600 but you can see the 630 (384 version) not far behind the k2000. http://www.tomshardware.com/charts/workstation-graphics-2013/10-AutoCAD-2013-3D-Performance-Summary,3286.html
