The board layouts on the quadrofx 1000 and 2000 look almost identical. I noticed two extra capacitors and a chip(thermal monitoring?) on the 2000. Is it possible, assuming sufficient cooling, to overclock the fx1000 to fx2000 performance levels?

or you could just buy a 5800 ultra and save some cash.

Treat your body like a $600 car. God didn't intend it to last so use it. Run it into the ground!

Geforce:Quadro, Not exactly in the same category.
If I were going to buy a card for gaming I'd get a 9800. or a 9500 and try moding it to an x1...

the quadros use the exact same core as the normal geforces at least with the quadro4 geforce 4, I know that you can actually mod a geforce 4 into a quadro but you will suffer performance decrease in games. Quadros are faster at what they do but so are the geforces. Try overclocking it, the worst that can happen is some ailiasing.
