I put together a retro pc build from the early 2000's, and am trying to assemble a small collection of the games that I played back then. I'm using xp pro 64 bit, so I won't be connecting to the internet.
I would like to buy a used copy of Quake 4 to add to my collection, but before I do I wanted to be sure it didn't require an internet connection to validate, or some other similar gimmick that would keep me from playing the game. Can anyone answer this for me? Thanks in advance.

Thank you for the verification. And thanks for the Insight provided in your link. But I don't have a license for the 32 bit version of windows, unless the license is for both. Is that possible? Too far back to remember how that worked.

It is for both.
Quake 4 does not require internet validation of any kind.

I would reconsider using WinXP 32bit instead for a retro machine. Not only because drivers are better supported but a lot of the older retro games used 16bit installers which you won't be able to install with 64bit OS.

Also on the matter of activation. WinXP be unusable after 30 days.
