I don't know if Apple did this or not, but it wouldn't surprise me since it's consistent with the arrogant, above the rules nature with which they conduct business, and the fact that they'll do anything to squeeze their suppliers.

The article said the claims were based on information discovered as part of another lawsuit. So, they've apparently got some evidence - not merely suspicion.

By definition, that makes it not baseless.

Historically not one that's been competitive performance wise. Also, modem design involves very different art then is required for CPU design. There's a reason Qualcomm modems have been the gold standard for so long, and it's not because they're cheap.
