Ok so here is the deal. I've recently moved to a new place, where the wifi is stronger than anywhere i've seen before. Yet, my laptop can't connect with more than 1 signal bar, while its closer than my smartphone and mother's laptop to the router. I bought a Dacota Platinum ac1200 to strengthen my connection but it requires to unistall the previous network drivers prior installing its own drivers. Everytime i unistall the driver of Atheros via device manager in W10, after restarting i find it being automatically reinstalled. Tried the hide update option of Microsoft, didnt show me the update to hide.
Tried : unistaling through regedit, fully updating to the latest driver and unistalling it later, no luck in anyway.

Please help me have a stable wifi connection...

The thing is, it was once broken and when they fixed it they kinda put it back together in a strange way, definitely I can't open it with screwdrivers alone. Also where I am living now, I don't think there is any hardware service for miles... Would the antenna problem also explain why the atheros drivers keep getting reinstalled after I Uninstall then from device manager ?

Neither do I and since I can't alone open the laptop and there are no hardware service stores around I think that dealing with the issue of drivers is the thing here. Th dacota platinum ac1200 states that I need to Uninstall any network driver before installing it's own drivers. Under apps and features there is none as Qualcomm or atheros, under device manager I Uninstall the atheros drivers and yet when I restart the laptop it's still there, probably messing with dacota's installation. I feel like approaching this issue is the only viable solution I have for now. Any ideas pretty please ?

Does the install need wifi? You could turn wifi off uninstall the driver, and windows may not have any way to download the driver once the pc restarts.

I just tried it. Closed the wifi, disabled Atheros though device manager, unistalled from same panel it's drivers, install the dacota's drivers PRE-entering its usb to the port, or restarting the pc, and the minute i installed the dacota's drivers it found a network to connect (with closed wifi and everything) as Qualcomm/Atheros!!! Nightmare
