Quality Heatsink

Hi,
I am looking for a quality heatsink/fan combo for a 1 GHz Thunderbird system. I probably won't over clock this system at all. Seems to risky to me. Can someone point me to a heatsink that will keep my processor confortably cool for a decent price?

I'm using an Alpha PAL6035MFC on my Thunderbird 950 clocked at 1100. Works very well. They're kind of hard to get, but two places that did have them are:

Price, depending on the type of 60mm. fan you get, is a little over US$30.00.

Just saw a socket cooler article at http://www.anandtech.com/.

I have a globalwin fop38 38cfm and a duron 700@850 with default vcore voltage settings and the temps are at 26C and 35C right now. I hear the t-birds run a little hotter. I had this cpu running at 1000 mhz and the temps never went over 30C and 40C. The alpha pep66 is a slot cooler but can easily be adapted to work on a socket A just by rotating the heatsink 90*. Just in this thread you will see comparisons of some cooler the globalwin fop38 is in second place there a bit better then the alphapal 6035.

Please don't hate me cause i'm beautiful!!!
Edited by KnightWalker1 on 11/24/00 06:33 PM.

I want to set up a system with a Duron 700. I've seen a "ATTech CM25 Solid Copper heatsink " at coolerguys.com. Is this sufficient? I may overclock, but haven't committed to it yet...

If you are not OC, then any amd approved HSF rating at that speed will work.
