Hello all

Hope you all had a Merry Christmas.

I am looking for quality one player games for my Gamcube, any suggestions?

I currently have the following:

Super Mario Sunshine
Pikmin (1)
Mario Kart Double Dash
F-Zero GX
Prince of Persia (The sands of time)
Mario Golf
Super Smash Bros. Melee

Also I am not too keen on FPS games.

Thanks in advance

I bet you added that line to avoid people suggesting....

.....Metroid Prime. However, it's *not* an FPS in the traditional sense
so go try it. Best gamecube game ever. You won't regret it.

Can't wait to play the second one. Have to finish San Andreas and Fire
Emblem first (taking forever since my free time isn't what it used to).

P.N.03. Can be found for cheap new or used. Most people did not like it
because you can only press one button at a time (you are either moving -
dodging - or shooting) so you have to look at what is going on, then
act.

Viewtiful Joe (1) (I haven't played 2 so can not reccomend it yet). Just
a good old side scrolling beat-em-up.

Cubivore. Good luck finding it, but if you do, it is just fun. You start
out as one of the lowest forms of life, and have to eat others things to
evolve.

Ikaruga. One of the hardest old school shooters (top down, not first
person) I have played.

Zelda WW, Sphinx and the Cursed Mummy, Beyond Good and Evil - all available
fairly cheap and all excellent.

What about I-Ninja? I saw it, haven't picked it up and was curious if it
were any good.

Yeah - it is fun...a bit difficult at points ( at least for me..) but still
fun.

Yes. It is fun. As long as you don't get a big head as you get a bigger
body. There is always something higher up the food chain than yourself
(almost always).

Hi Kevin,

I'd like to affirm the recommendations of Viewtiful Joe, I-Ninja, and
Cubivore. All three definitely worth picking up. VJ and I-Ninja you
shouldn't have any trouble finding for $20 or less, and Cubivore
shouldn't be too hard to find, just check eBay. There's three copies
up on there right now: http://tinyurl.com/6po9h.

In addition to those games, I'd recommend considering Animal Crossing.
It's not like most games, and it's not everyone's cup of tea, but I
found it to be an enjoyable diversion. Maybe rent it for a week and
try it out at least. Just make sure you have 64 blocks available on a
memory card.

I'm also amazed that no one has yet recommended Super Monkey Ball (1
and/or 2). What could be better than monkeys in translucent balls
traversing magically suspended obstacle courses? You don't have to
answer that.

Also, you didn't mention whether you were mostly interested in
GameCube-exclusive games, but James Bond: Everything or Nothing is a
pretty fun 3rd-person action game. Also Simpsons: Hit & Run is amusing
while it lasts, as a GTA-ish game.

Lastly, I've heard that Metal Arms: Glitch in the System is pretty
good, and while I've not yet played it, it's on my list of "games to
get."

So many games, so little time...

Well there are the Star Wars games. New Prince of Persia, Cubivore, Eternal
Darkness (not entirely a FPS per se), Super Monkey Ball (1 & 2).
