Hi all,

I've been waiting for a reason to upgrade my computer and opportunity can knocking during the quarantine. I don't consider myself a heavy or even moderate gamer. Weekend warrior at best, I play older games most of the time (see below list). Mostly this a budget build, something fun to do, yet I'd like to have a build something that is mid-level. Here's what I have thus far, thank you very much and appreciate input, and here's my questions:

  1. Is the Ryzen 5 2600 worth it over the 1600 with what I have? I could save $40 if I switched.
  2. Is the mobo a good choice and will it work out-of-box with the Ryzen 2600?
  3. Opinions needed on if anything bottlenecks (CPU to GPU) or if some part doesn't work well or doesn't make sense with the rest of the build.
  4. Any part I should reconsider to save money?

System Usage from Most to Least Important: Gaming (Halo MCC, GTA V, Doom, CSGO, Bioshock, TF2). I'm not interested in newer games honestly. Red Dead Redemption 2 would be the exception. That and surfing, work, movies.
Parts Not Required: Keyboard, mouse, and Asus CD/DVD drive.
Preferred Website(s) for Parts: Newegg, Ebay and Amazon.
Overclocking: No
SLI or Crossfire: (limited understanding on this) Crossfire since AMD?

Ok. Noted. My plan was to purchase on Newegg & Ebay, from my list above. I'll find a more a legit copy though of W10. I still need input on my initial 4 questions, thank you.

Agreed. I was considering this on another list of mine: WD Blue 1TB Desktop Hard Disk Drive - 7200 RPM SATA 6Gb/s 64MB. Just updated that as well, bumping it above my budget a tad.
