Query on the real capacity of Samsung 4gb 1rx8 pc3l-12800s-11-13-b4

So, I'm trying to upgrade my laptop's memory. I bought an Asus X550LN, it has a haswell i7-4200 alongside with an 8 gb or RAm but when I opened the backlid, the ram had a Samsung 4gb 1rx8 pc3l-12800s-11-13-b4 label. I don't get it because base on dxdiag, task manager and cpu-z, it is running on 8gb of RAM.

There is 4GB soldered to the motherboard. From the specifications page -- https://www.asus.com/Laptops/X550LN/specifications/ "DDR3L 1600 MHz SDRAM, OnBoard Memory 4 GB , 1x DIMM socket, DIMM Up to 4 G" So your 1 DIMM is 4GB and the motherboard has 4GB.
