Question Question about 8 pin to 6x2 +6x2 pin

Im quite curious about if you can use this as a 8pin to a single 6x2 pin and still get the same performance/wattage, as if you used both? Asking because I only have 2 pcs. 8 pins cords, and both have 2 6x2 pin outputs.

As far as the Molex spec for MiniFitJr pins is concerned, a properly made cable using 13A-rated pins should be able to handle ~450W at 12V or around 300W for the lower-current (8-9A) rated pins.

The PCI-SIG was extremely conservative with its own ratings.
