question about 9700np

I just got the 9700np today and found out that it has the infineon memory, but I'm not sure what ns it has. I tried taking off the OCSystem Level I cooling kit, but it's too much of a hassle. I've heard that some people are able to flash the bios of their 9700np to make it a 9700p. Would it be safe to do for me since I have the infineon memory? I read through a lot of threads but could not find out how to flash the bios. Would someone please be able to help me out with a link for where I could get the bios if it is safe for me to do so? If it is safe to flash to a pro would the omega drivers be best for this card? Thanks in advance for anyone who can help.

2500 at stock settings
2 x 256mb Corsair pc3200 c2pt

Infinion memory doesnt overclock very good. I'm on my second card that uses it. As far as flashing your card goes, I wouldnt do it, I would simply use a tool like Rage Tweak to up the clock frequencies whenever you startup your machine.

I dont like omega drivers.. just use ATIs.
As far as flashing, if you can get Pro speeds without problems.. and a little more hopefully just to make sure you got a little leeway then I dont think you'll have a problem.
But theres no real reason to flash unless you just dont like the idea of a util loading that does it.. or just want that good feeling
