Over the last week or so I've been getting the following message when trying to shut down windows:

NvGameStreamWindowsMessageHandler_00003238_0000332C

This program comes up on the "closing apps and shutting down" dialog when you leave programs open when attempting to shut down windows

I've never seen this before and it's something to do with Nvidia. Any ideas on what it is and how to stop it not closing properly on shut down?

Solution
That's part of the NVIDIA GeForce Experience component of the graphics card's driver.

If you don't use or want the NVIDIA GeForce Experience component, or any other components you don't use, then perform a Custom install and uncheck the NVIDIA GeForce Experience and any other check boxes.

I think it is NVidia game shield streaming.
you should be able to stop the service if you don't use it.
otherwise you can go into windows control panel ->hardware and sound-> power options
then select change plan settings, go to change advanced settings
then go to the bottom of the list and find the media settings for
"when sharing media" then click on the setting and a list should show up, select "allow the computer to sleep"

best just to turn off the service if you don't have a NVidia shield device
