Hey ... i have Phenom II X4 965 BE , (4GB *2 ) corsair vengeance 1866MHZ & Asus M5A99Fx Pro 2.0
the max of frequency of my ram in bios 1600mhz ..one of my friends told me that because it is the highest Auto Frequency of Phenom II X4 965 BE[/b]...and he told me if i want to get 1866mhz i have 2 options 1- Buy new processor from FX Category
. OR 2-make overclock

is that true the max of CPU memory auto frequency is 1600 mhz ??

Solution
It runs it as 1600MHz, the board itself takes over and allows it to run at those speeds, even though the processor was not originally intended to do so.

i dont know but my motherboard shows me 1600 frequency i chose it ... in this case do you mean the CPU makes my ram in frequency 1600 or 1333 ??...

i'm afraid to make overclcok with asus app turbov evo maybe it's dangerous to motherboard

thanks mate for your info i'm afraid to make overclcok with asus app turbov evo maybe it's dangerous to motherboard and one of my friend told me to make X.M.P for ram ..What's your opinion ?

if you run the ram at 1866, its overclocking the memory controller on the CPU, so possibly dangerous for the cpu. Creates more heat, and may be unstable. The motherboard itself is fine for 1866. I would just leave it at 1600, like i said, there is no noticeable difference.

ok i'll leave it in 1600mhz as you said no big difference ..and maybe after 2 months i'll change my processor to make my Graphic card more effect my graphic card GTX 970 G1 Gaming any recommendation about new processor FX from you boss ??

i would recommend an intel i5 of some sort. But if your motherboard supports the 8350 its an ok gaming cpu on a budget without having to totally change platforms. But it should be noted, depending on the game, the 8350 can perform worse than an i3, or as good as an i7 if its one of the few games that can utillize many cores.

Thanks for your help ...my motherboard is Asus M5A99FX Pro 2.0 and it's support FX-8350 ...but this is good Processor ??
