question about APC UPS

Hello guys, i recently bought an APC UPS (model# NX650LI-MS) it has an output capacity of 650VA / 325 watts. My question is:

1. Is it okay for my system? My current power supply is an Seasonic X-460FL 460 W and a samsung 23" monitor with 44w here are my hardwares:
MB Asrock z77 pro 3
CPU i5 3570k OC at 4.2ghz (stock voltage temp below 70 deg)
GPU MSi 750 ti twin frozr OC
1 SSD 1 HDD
4 120mm fan and 1 140mm fan
and dvr drive
2. I smell a burning like aroma around the UPS, the same smell when i first got it out of the box, is it okay? its kinda warm but not hot.

The best way to determine if it is enough is to leave it plugged in for a couple days to be fully charged then when doing what ever is most common for you, game, music youtube, etc.... pull the plug out of the wall. Did the PC stay on? Do you have enough time to hit the shutdown and have it ACTUALLY shutdown ? If you can't do that, then it isn't going to help you much ....
