I'm using a 8 core amd cpu / gtx 660 / 8 gb ram

What would be the best parameters for arma 3 for me? also I saw something about ex threads for more cores going toward arma 3?

Lmk what I should put so I don't put the wrong stuff please.

I have to run my settings on standard(i was told i could run this game at ultra settings, but i lag when i do so)

also, i use obs to stream on twitch....

the 660 is capable of running arma3 ultra 1080p at ~25 fps

arma 3 only uses 2 cores, so you are stuck with 2 low IPC cores

you could try something like disabling 4 cores so that resources are not shared, and then overclocking

lower gpu settings as well, 660 is capable but not ultra capable

i get like 15 fps on standard settings zzz...idk whats wrong then. i wish i got 25 fps with ultra, im debating if my HDD is shit and maybe thats why.

DXGI_ERROR_DEVICE_REMOVED is an error i get sometimes when playing it.

i am getting a hunch with that error... power supply make and model?

Also:

install this, then run it

minimize it without closing

play a game, after a while close the game and maximize hwinfo

scroll down the program window and post back with max temps for all cpu and gpu cores

http://www.hwinfo.com/download.php

close the program, then start it again a little window should come up, click on "sensors only" then click run

should be a lot better info, minimize this window

run a game again, after a bit

maximize hwinfo window and it should have all the info we need:

max temps for all cpu cores and your gpu. post back with info

no, i get better fps when lowering the settings...

i was using evga precision to show you the gpu temp/voltage

i downloaded and will check out the temps tomorrow...im layin in bed atm

thanks for helping btw, i've had like 10 topics asking for help, but nobody would help.

do u think its my temps or my hdd dying? or my gpu is messed up? i havent had my gpu over 2 years, it should have a warranty on it right?

i have a amd 8 core gpu 3.5 ghz / 8 gb ram

Looks like 60 C is tempt for cpu / 45 for gpu C....

is there a log i can save and upload it so you can see everything ? I wanna make sure nothing is wrong..

If I've had my gpu less than 2 years, is there a warranty on the card so I could return it, if there's something wrong with it?

I'm gonna buy 2-3 more computer fans, atm 2 of mine went out 2 weeks ago...

I can put 2 top /2 front / 2 side/ 2 bottom /1 back

atm i have 1 top / 1 back... I planned on doing 1 in back air out/2 top pushing air out / 2 pulling air in front

sound good? or a cpu cooler would be better? im scared on trying to take off my cpu and putting a new fan on it....even though i did build my computer..

my last computer i threw away, i try to take off the cpu just to see how hard it would be, and it seemed impossible......im sure i might could do it, if I made sure 100% I was doing it right and watched some video on it.

run hwmonitor sensors only, play a game for a while it will tell you temps

post back with max temps for cpu and gpu

please do as we ask, we are trying to help it is frustrating when you dont

i re-edited my post during the time u posted i guess...sorry i didn't know to use the sensors only, theres like 3 options when loading the program.

look at my edit, i posted the temps..idk if those are my hardcore gaming temps since i figured out the temps while still in game, but i wasn't doing anything other than sitting in the city, and not shooting/multiple things going on in the game.

you can take a picture of the sensor screen then upload the image to a website like imgur then post back with the link to it

ill do that, already got off for the moment.

it said 60c CPU / 45 Gpu

odd, the image you uploaded does not tell cpu temps for the cores.

try this, play a game for a while, then post back with max temps

make sure the front 2 blow air into the case, and the back and top ones blow air out of the case

i posted updates on this thread

im debating if i should buy a cpu cooler...i dont want to spend money on 1 if my cpu or gpu is messed up.

I plan on buying at least 2 fans. i'd like to know why im getting dxgi_error_device_removed error and i used nvidia geforce experience to install my driver and curious if its a heating issue or not..

im wanting to buy the cpu cooler if its gonna fix my issues and make my comp run the way its suppose to run....i was told i can get 25 fps on ultra vid settings, but i only can get 25 fps if if i have everything on low

i did turn a fan inside out to push air in and my comp did run much better today, im hoping i didnt burn anything up from overheating
