I'm using a 8 core amd cpu / gtx 660 / 8 gb ram

What would be the best parameters for arma 3 for me? also I saw something about ex threads for more cores going toward arma 3?

Lmk what I should put so I don't put the wrong stuff please.

I have to run my settings on standard(i was told i could run this game at ultra settings, but i lag when i do so)

also, i use obs to stream on twitch....

what make and model power supply do you have?

also make and model of you motherboard?

low performance can also be due to faulty psu/not enough watts/motherboard bios not updated

uhh i have a 400 watt psu

mobo is asus m5a97 le r2.0

i just bought 3 x 120 mm fans.....im curious if i bought the wrong 1's and should of gotten 140 :/....how do i know if my case holds 120 or 140?

from screw to screw it seemed like it was 5 inches....does that mean i need 140 mm fans? I ordered 120 mm and Idk if those will work.

should I cancel my order and do 140 mm?

and my PSU isn't strong enough for my computer? i was told my 400 psu would work fine for it

the VAST majority of 400w power supplies are utter crap

make and model?

you need minimum a GOOD 500w

i jus took my case off on the side it's a CX 500...

8 gb ram / 3.5 ghz amd 8 core / gtx 660/ mobo is asus m5a97 le r2.0 is my setup

I only have 2 fans in my case, both pulling air(since my other 2 broke) and i turned 1 to pull air in and it ran a lot better today.

I'm gonna have 2 front /1 bottom /1 top /1 back when it's complete.

hopefully after that, it will run better. if i need a cooler then i'll get that.

is that 500W psu good enough? could a dying HDD cause lag ?

i've been getting a dxgi_error_device_removed error too, idk if thats cause of heat...i used nvidia geforce experience to dl my drivers, I would love to figure out if that error is the reason for my lag or if heat is causing that error.

it says the gpu isnt plugged in, but that cant be true? it wouldnt work if it wasnt plugged all the way in?

cx 500 is not so good, but should run your setup if you don't overclock anything

have you made sure all the cables are plugged into the gpu that it needs? some need pcie 6-pin cables to be plugged in

i'll check that in a moment, someone told me to run a benchmark test on my gpu for hour or two.

should I do that now? or wait for new fans to do it?

should i do what this site ask me to do ? it says i can test my hdd/gpu/cpu/ram
